UK police escort mum off flight after her card is declined for £7

Ann-Marie Murray, 55, and her partner were escorted off a Ryanair flight from Tenerife to Bristol on March 28 after struggling to pay for £7 worth of onboard food. Their Barclays card failed to process the payment, and after offering to withdraw cash upon landing, flight crew refused. They were accused of refusing to pay and became disruptive, despite other passengers defending them. Police met the plane on arrival, and they were removed. Later, they found their car’s front bumper smashed at the airport, but the parking company denied responsibility. Ryanair stated the couple ignored crew instructions and disrupted the flight.
