Yes, the official White House Instagram account shared a Valentine’s Day post featuring the heads of Trump and his border czar, Tom Homan, along with the words: “Roses Are Red Violets Are Blue Come Here Illegally And We’ll Deport You.”
As you can imagine, people were shocked when scrolling led them to stumble upon the post.
“Is this an actual white house official account?” people couldn’t help but double check.
“I had to refresh twice to make sure this was real,” another said.
The post was called “disgusting, classless, and unprofessional.”
Someone said, “Never thought I’d see the day the Whitehouse would became a shitposting meme account but here we are.”
Making puns out of deporting families quickly earned Trump’s team a label of “the most childish administration that has ever existed.”
Especially considering the meaning behind today’s holiday. “This is disgusting,” a person said. “You just couldn’t resist a moment to spread hate on a day when ppl are celebrating love.”
