Severe Flooding Destroys Vermont Roads


A flash flood emergency was issued for parts of northern Vermont on Tuesday, July 30, after some areas received more than eight inches of rain overnight, according to officials.

Chris Dussault recorded footage of the aftermath of the “extreme rainfall” on Tuesday, showing flooded and washed-out roads in Saint Johnsbury.

Officials said approximately two dozen rescues were carried out in the area.
