Chanel has launched its first campaign featuring Margot Robbie. The Australian actress was named the new face of the Chanel No5 fragrance, succeeding Marion Cotillard.
The new campaign film named “See You at Five,” offers a new look at the No5 world.
Chanel described the film as “a rigorously articulated, meticulously conceived scenario that illustrates the liberated feminine personality at the heart of the fragrance”.
The video debuted yesterday and was directed by Italian filmmaker Luca Guadagnino, who is known for Challengers and Call Me By Your Name.
Saltburn actor Jacob Elordi also stars in the film, playing Robbie’s love interest.
In the film, Robbie’s character texts Elordi ‘see you at five’ to which he gets on his motorcycle to meet her. Meanwhile, Robbie gets ready and drives to meet him.
Robbie is seen wearing a classic Chanel red tweed mini skirt and jacket, paying homage to Carole Bouquet’s look in 1986.
Each arrives at each other’s house, having misunderstood the plan. In the end, Robbie embraces freedom by diving into the ocean.
