Asgard’s Wrath 2 launches 2nd cosmic event: Into the Multiverse

Meta’s Asgard’s Wrath 2 team is launching the game’s second cosmic event, dubbed Into the Multiverse.

Asgard’s Wrath 2 has been out in the wild for just over six weeks now, and it’s been a little over a month
since the first patch went live.

The dev team said that in the event players must battle the multiverse frontlines within the Uncharted Rifts and strengthen the Guardian Alliance effort by purging intrusive hostiles to restore realities.

“We wanted to keep players engaged and coming back for more,” said Oculus Studios senior producer Mari Kyle, in a statement. “Cosmic Events let players complete unique challenges called Cosmic Objectives, close Loki Anomalies, and conquer Weaver Trials during a limited time period. They earn points for completing these challenges, which they can use to unlock new loot like exclusive weapons, armor, and customization packs. And it’s all completely free.”

The experience will feature Cosmic objectives and Weaver Trials that include tasks such as defeating four Dread Souls in the Uncharted Rifts, using a Divine Soul to vanquish enemies in a single Uncharted Rift run, showing expert training and skill by reaching floor 15 with no healing items or buffs, defeating 25 enemies using any wards in a single run, and joining the Cosmic Guardian elite by reaching floor 25 using no Revelations.

Players will also encounter a number of new Loki Anomalies, including a new MR challenge, Desert Rogues, in which Desert Renegades and Set Enemies have banded together to cause multiverse mayhem in the physical realm.

Mixed reality challenges are available only on Meta Quest 3. And Asgard’s Wrath 2 is free with the purchase of a Meta Quest 3 for a limited time.
