With price hikes looming overhead, you may be looking to stores like Sam’s Club to load up on your favorite items at a discount. If that’s the case, we’ve got some good news.
Sam’s Club, which is owned by Walmart, announced in their most recent Investment Community Meeting on April 9, 2025, that it plans to open 15 new club locations every year and renovate all 600 existing locations to match the newly opened Grapevine, Texas store. The new location boasts a Scan & Go register-free shopping experience, a showroom to display items in a new, interactive way and an option to ship products directly to customers’ homes.
“This is one of the fastest, most scalable transformations happening in retail today,” said Chris Nicholas, Sam’s Club President and CEO.
The expansion comes as the brand tries to keep up with demand and bring clubs to new regions, servicing a bigger audience of shoppers. Their goal is to more than double membership, sales and profit in the next eight to 10 years, according to the company.
A spokesperson for the brand confirmed to Good Housekeeping the location of two new clubs set to open this year: One located in Tempe, Arizona and the other in Lebanon, Tennessee. Specifics about the 13 other clubs soon to be constructed have not been released yet, but we will update this post as we get more information.
