Amy Spencer is a dating and relationship expert and a “full-fledged” dating optimist. Her first book, “Meeting Your Half-Orange: An Utterly Upbeat Guide to Using Dating Optimism to Find Your Perfect Match,” will be published in February 2010.

Amy has written for numerous health and lifestyle outlets, including Glamour, Maxim, Real Simple, Match.com, Cosmopolitan, Page Six magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, New York, Angeleno, Redbook, Women’s Health, Prevention, New York Post and Msn.com.

Amy gained experience in the relationship realm as a launching editor at Maxim magazine in the U.S. and a features editor at Glamour and Star magazines. Amy has appeared as a media and celebrity expert on “Access Hollywood,” “Entertainment Tonight,” “E! True Hollywood Story,” VH1’s “Naked Hollywood” and “Christina Aguilera,” and the Fox News Channel.

Amy has also offered her expertise through appearances on G4 Channel’s “Filter,” “The WB Morning Show” and “Fox Morning Show,” as well as dozens of national and local radio programs on FM and satellite radio.

From 2006-2008, Amy hosted a weekly live call-in advice show, “Sex Files,” on Sirius radio’s Maxim108. Prior to serving as a host, she held the post of resident relationship expert on Maxim108, and appeared weekly on Sirius’ “The Covino & Rich Show.” She has also been featured as a relationship radio expert on Howard Stern’s “Howard 100 News.” Amy, a New York native, currently resides in Los Angeles.
